Police: Putnam Man Arrested on Warrant

Troopers at the Southeast barracks recently arrested a 43-year-old Patterson man who was at the station for a separate incident, officials say.

John C. Sprague was speaking to police about an unrelated case at about 10 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. Officials discovered that he was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, troopers say, and he was arrested as a fugitive from justice.

Information on the events leading up to the warrant was not available. Police turned Sprague over to Poughkeepsie.
