Putnam Hospital Center Names New VP of Patient Care Services
Eilish Hourihan also serves as the center's chief nursing officer, as announced Thursday, July 14.

Eilish C. Hourihan is Putnam Hospital Center’s new vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer.
Hourihan comes to the hospital with more than 30 years of leadership experience in nursing, management and strategic planning.

“She is a champion for patient care, quality and nursing professionalism and has a proven track record of establishing collaborative relationships with medical staff,” Putnam Hospital Center President James Caldas said.
Hourihan most recently served as director of the Heart and Vascular Institute and Cardiovascular Service line for Stamford Hospital System in Connecticut. While there, she played a key role in the implementation of the transcatheter aortic valve replacement program and the Structural Heart clinic.

Her career history includes serving as vice president of patient care services in a variety of critical care areas and the Behavioral Health Hospital for Westchester County Healthcare Corp. in Valhalla and as executive director of the Taylor Care Center at Westchester. She began her nursing career at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers.
Hourihan received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Dominican College and a master’s in case management from Pace University. She has nursing executive, advanced certification from the American Nurse Credentialing Center and is a registered nurse in both New York and Connecticut.
