Putnam Valley Cheerleading Champs Celebrated In Albany

PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — The Putnam Valley High School Tigers cheerleading team was invited to Albany Tuesday to celebrate its 2023 New York State Championship win.

The cheerleading team won its first-ever state championship on Nov. 5 in Binghamton. They were led by head coach Kelly Wilson, Captain Cameron and Matt Mellow, principal of Putnam Valley High School.

Assemblyman Matt Slater, R-Yorktown, said he was honored to celebrate the team in Albany.
