Sheriff: Woman Tries to Fill Forged Pain Killer Prescription at Southeast Pharmacy

A 29-year-old Purdys woman is accused of attempting to fill forged prescriptions for Percocet, a pain killer, at a pharmacy in Southeast and a drug store in Pawling.

Investigator Thomas Corless with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office arrested Lisa Mayette late last month, according to a statement released by authorities Wednesday.

"It is alleged that in May of 2011, Ms. Mayette obtained three prescriptions for Percocet, a known pain medication, from a duly licensed physician and altered the quantity allotted to obtain 100 doses per each prescription," officials said.

Mayette was arraigned and released pending a June 20 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
