Southeast Offers Shredding Service For Residents
The first of two Community Shred Events in 2024 is coming up in April.
SOUTHEAST, NY — Southeast will offer two opportunities to residents who have a lot of paper to dispose of.
The first Town Shred Day of 2024 is April 6 from 9 a.m. till noon — or, actually, until the truck fills up.
Bring those piles of documents in bags, boxes or any other container. They'll shred what's inside and return the container to you.

Worried about the personal information on those papers? You can watch the shredding process on a monitor at the side of the truck.
Don't worry about staples or paper clips, but don't bring plastic covers or three-ring binders. Also, this is NOT for electronics, hard drives, office equipment, CDs, DVDs or x-rays.

The plan is to hold a second Shred Day Oct. 5, town officials said.
