Southeast Voters Decide Supervisor Race
Registered voters in the town of Southeast only had one contested race.

SOUTHEAST, NY — Registered voters in the town of Southeast had a few decisions to make Tuesday at the ballot box.
In the race for supervisor, Nicholas Durante apparently defeated Robert Cullen in the race to replace longtime incumbent Tony Hay.
According to unofficial results, Durante received 78.8 percent of the vote with Cullen receiving 21.2 percent.

Two newcomers running for two seats on the Southeast Town Council were uncontested: Wendy Lewis and Alessandro Mazzotta, both on the Republican and Conservative lines.
Town Clerk Kathleen A. Chiudina was unopposed in her re-election bid, as was Highway Superintendent Michael E. Burdick.

In Brewster, Mayor James J. Schoenig and Trustees Christine M. Piccini and George J. Gaspar were uncontested for re-election.
In the two contested Putnam County Legislature elections, according to unofficial results:
District 2
- Maggie Ploener (D, WF): 1,059
- William J. Gouldman (R, C): 1,390
District 3
- Kathy Kahng (D): 1,042
- Toni E. Addonizio (R, C): 1,252
