
Police arrested at 64-year-old Putnam Lake man, who they stopped for traveling at a high rate of speed, after they discovered he was carrying marijuana, according to authorities.
State troopers from the Southeast barracks pulled over the man at about 2 p.m. Sept. 10 on Route 22 in town. They charged him with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. The charge indicates he was carrying more than two ounces of pot.
The defendant was released pending a future appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
