A 31-year-old Purdys man is facing criminal charges after he stole jewelry and silverware from a home, state police troopers in Somers said.
Foster Moore, was arrested on June 11 and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony; second-degree attempted assault and resisting arrest, misdemeanors.
State troopers said when he was being arrested at his home, he began to "violently" resist the arrest while being escorted to a police vehicle.
Moore was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He was ordered to re-appear in the town of North Salem Court on June 17.
