Troopers: Traffic Stop on Route 6 Leads to DWI Arrest

A 49-year-old Danbury, CT man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated following a recent traffic stop in Southeast.

Troopers from the Southeast Barracks arrested Santiago Sanchez at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday. They pulled him over on Route 6, just west of Starr Ridge Road, for an unsafe lane change. One of his headlights was out, too.

Police say Sanchez's blood-alcohol level was 0.13 percent. The legal limit is 0.08.

Sanchez was released pending a June 13 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
