HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.

Dayspring Community Center Anniversary Celebration
Dayspring Community Center is celebrating its second Anniversary and Community Appreciation Day and it needs volunteers to help make the event a success! Volunteers are needed to assist with setup and cleanup, popcorn and cotton candy machines, hot dog and snack stations, bouncy house, snack station, pony races, adopt-a-farm pet station, and crowd control.
Date: 7/20 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m., 12-3 p.m., 3-4:30 p.m.

Taste of Union Avenue Volunteers
The New Rochelle Public Library is seeking volunteers to help represent the library at its vendor table at the Taste of Union Avenue event, which celebrates New Rochelle's diverse Latin community. Volunteers will assist with providing information to guests, collecting library card applications, and distributing giveaways. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus. Volunteers must be 21+.
Date: 7/27 from 1-4 p.m. and 4-7 p.m.

Laundry Supplies Drive
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is hosting a Laundry Kit Donation Drive to help its clients with basic needs. Volunteers are needed to purchase or collect new items such as fabric softener, dryer sheets, and liquid laundry detergent in order to help make things a little easier for our neighbors in need.
