Volunteer Opportunities Of The Week: Muddy Puddles Fest, MLK Library
Every week, Patch will spotlight volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. @volunteerNYnow
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.
This week we are putting the spotlight on some opportunities hand-selected by our friends at Volunteer New York!; all opportunities can be found at https://www.volunteernewyork.org.
Teen Moving Day
The Sharing Shelf is looking for teens (and their parents) to help move bags, boxes, and containers of clothing from its warehouse to a storage pod in its parking lot to help make room for back-to-school supplies for its upcoming backpack drive. This project occurs both indoors and outdoors and volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared for manual activities. This is the perfect opportunity for teens looking to gain community service hours.
