POSTPONEMENT UPDATE: Where To Watch Fourth of July Fireworks In and Around Southeast

UPDATE: PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Kent has postponed its fireworks. Southeast is still planning to set theirs off.

After consulting with Board members, monitoring the weather forecast and speaking with residents, in light of the heavy thunderstorms expected this afternoon and this evening - Saturday July 1, 2017, the fireworks over Lake Carmel scheduled for this evening are postponed.

Meanwhile, officials in the town of Southeast say the Southeast Fireworks Extravaganza is ON!!!
The Southeast Fireworks will go off as planned this evening. Band to start at 8:00pm and fireworks display at 9:30pm. Location: Highlands Shopping Center (DiCiccio's Parking lot) - See you there!

BREWSTER, NY—With the Fourth of July holiday weekend upon us, it's time to consider where you will see the fireworks. Fortunately, the Hudson Valley offers plenty of options. To help you make Fourth of July plans, Patch has compiled a list of displays taking place across Hudson Valley Patch towns — and beyond. Locally, The Southeast Fireworks Extravaganza will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. July 1 at the Highlands Shopping Center, Independent Way, Brewster. The rain date is July 8. The concert begins at 8 p.m. Fireworks follow at 9:30 p.m.
