Work On NB Taconic Parkway Closes 1 Lane In Putnam Through Jan. 17

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — The Taconic State Parkway northbound will be reduced to one lane at State Route 301 in Kent through Jan. 17, to facilitate construction work, New York State Department of Transportation officials said.

Work will be done at the site of the closed lane as weather permits.

Motorists in Putnam County are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Remember, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your drivers license.
