SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — A basement sneaker sale in Sunset Park turned violent when a man pulled a knife on the seller and the other beat him up, police said.
Authorities said Wednesday night that they are looking for two men who went to a basement near Sixth Avenue and 57th Street on Saturday, May 5.
There, police say, they met a 21-year-old male who was trying to sell them sneakers. One of the men pulled out a knife, and the other one punched the 21-year-old in the face, "causing bruising and laceration," police said.

The two men fled on foot, and the victim was taken to an area hospital and treated for his injuries, police said. It's unclear if the sneakers — or anything else — was stolen. Police are calling the case an "attempted robbery."
Police released this grainy surveillance video that they say shows the two suspects.
