Cab Driver Rapes Woman In Brooklyn After Threatening Her With Knife: Cops

Police are still looking for the attacker, they said.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — A 29-year-old woman was raped by her cab driver after he threatened her with a knife and demanded money in Sunset Park in broad daylight on Saturday, she reported to the police.

The woman told police that at around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, she left the Ditmas Park area in a cab that drove to her house in Sunset Park. When the cab arrived at her place, the driver took out a knife and demanded her money, so she gave him cash, she told police. The driver then got in the back seat of the car and forcibly raped her before getting away to an unknown location, cops said.

The woman described the attacker as a Hispanic man who was around 20 to 25 years old with a "medium complexion," and she described the cab as a red mini-van.
