DOT Still Asking For Feedback On 4th Ave Bike Lanes
Miss the last three meetings? You can still make your voices heard.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — The New York City Department of Transportation is still asking for feedback on its plan to install parking-protected bike lanes in both directions on Fourth Avenue from 65th Street to Atlantic Avenue.
After three public meetings — including two in Sunset Park — on the topic, DOT is directing people to its website to say more.

At a meeting in Sunset Park on Wednesday night, people got to hear again about the plan, which would keep the two car lanes in place but reduce some parking spaces and narrow "pedestrian refuges" in the medians for people crossing the street.

The project will eventually go before Community Boards 6 and 7 for a vote.
The proposal is not yet final, and things such as loading zone locations have yet to be decided, DOT says. But the plan it presented Wednesday night was essentially the same one shown in May in Sunset Park and earlier in Park Slope.

"Nothing has been decided yet," DOT Bike Program Director Ted Wright said Wednesday night. "But we do want to come to the community and get as much feedback as possible before we move forward."
