Man Tried To Abduct Two Kids In Sunset Park, Police Say
The man tried to abduct two 10-year-old boys walking home from school in Sunset Park last week, police said.

SUNSET PARK, NY — A man tried to abduct two boys walking home from school in Sunset Park last week, but they both fought back and escaped his clutches, police said.
The man first struck on May 7 when he came up behind a 10-year-old boy at the corner of Fort Hamilton Parkway and 58th Street at about 3:05 p.m. and asked him if he wanted ice cream, the NYPD said.
The boy refused and tried to get away, but the man grabbed him by his backpack and held him, police said. The victim tried to bite the man to get away and he eventually let go and ran away.

Two days later, another 10-year-old boy was walking home from school when the man came up to him in front of 5302 Seventh Ave. and grabbed his arm at about 3 p.m., the NYPD said.
The boy tried to kick the man when he let go and ran away in an unknown direction, police said. None of the victims were injured in the attempted abductions.

Police described the man as about 5-feet 9-inches tall, 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
