SUNSET PARK, NY — A pair of men posed as police officers and robbed two people in Sunset Park, tying up one woman in her apartment, the NYPD announced last week.

The suspects first approached a 46-year-old man in front of 813 55th St. on August 10 and showed him bogus badges at about 11 p.m., police said. The men then handcuffed the victim, drove him around in a minivan and stole $1,600, a Chase card, an iPhone and jewelry from him before they let him go.

Nearly an hour later, the men went inside the apartment of a 50-year-old woman, near 51st Street and Eighth Avenue, and tied her up, authorities said. The suspects stole $1,000 and jewelry from the woman before they left her apartment and drove away in an unknown direction.
