  1. The accused Sunset Park subway shooter, Frank R. James, was arraigned at Brooklyn federal court Friday, after a day that marked one month since the April 12 shooting at the 36th Street Station in Sunset Park. James could face life in prison if he is convicted of "carrying out a terrorist attack on a mass transit system and discharging a firearm during a violent crime." (Reuters)
  2. Nurses at Woodhull Hospital have taken the opportunity presented by National Nurses Month to reflect on the immense challenges that they have faced since the onset of the pandemic.   3. According to a civilian watchdog report, during the George Floyd protests, NYPD wrongdoing substantiated misconduct cases against 145 officers. The report released Wednesday by Civilian Complaint Review Board members recommend "serving charges — the highest form of punishment — against 88 officers and lighter forms of discipline against 57 cops," the report states.
