- See five new properties for sale in and around Sunset Park. Patch provides you with a sampling of the latest batch of properties — including a home in the Brooklyn area with 2 beds and 2 baths for $589,000, and another in the Brooklyn area with 5 beds and 2 baths for $4.3 million. (Sunset Park Patch)
- The Brooklyn Tower's façade reached its final residential height at the superstructure at 9 DeKalb Ave. The 1,066-foot, 93-story tower will yield 550 units, 150 of which will be available to purchase. The tower is planned to launch occupancy in late 2022. (New York YIMBY)
- Brooklyn Crossing is nearly completed; a 51-story residential skyscraper at 18 Sixth Ave. in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Brooklyn Crossing should be finished in the next several months. The affordable housing lottery is still available, and applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 14. Click here for more information from a previous post. (New York YIMBY)
- It can be a very frustrating commute when your means of transportation is not always reliable. amNewYork Metro reported that "NYC Ferry’s pier walkways are on the fritz daily and often more than that, leading to routine service suspensions, a source with internal knowledge of the heavily subsidized maritime transit system." A pet project of the former Mayor Bill de Blasio administration, it has struggled with routine closures and amNewYork Metro previously revealed that docks were down every four days over the past six months. The source chalked up the frequent outages to ramps freezing during the cold weather, other mechanical issues, and the piers losing power, amNewYork reported. (AMNY)
