Here are the top stories today in Sunset Park:

  1. Sunset Park area pets who need a home. Possibly you might consider looking around at a local adoption agency like Brooklyn Animal Action, where Beso the cat is waiting patiently. Maybe you would consider fostering a pet. If you aren't sure if you have time to take care of a pet year-round, many shelters offer opportunities to foster pets until they are placed. 2. Who's hiring in the Sunset Park area? There are many high paying jobs listed, even if you are looking for part-time work, it's all there in the Patch. So, what are you waiting for? (Sunset Park Patch)
  3. 4 new properties for sale in and around the Sunset Park area. To keep you up to date, we've got a fresh batch of four new listings nearby. Here’s a sampling of the latest batch of new properties to go up for sale including one in the Brooklyn area with 1 bed and 1 bath for $328,000, and another in the Brooklyn area with 3 beds and 2 baths for $1.9 million. (Sunset Park Patch)
  4. A new "Subway Safety Plan" began earlier this month; however, violent attacks have continued even as the safety plan rolled out, including a man stabbed at a station in Crown Heights last week and a man who was shot at Broadway Junction station, according to officials. The one good thing that came out of the plan was that Denzel Hodge, 26, was captured. He is accused of stabbing two women inside Brooklyn subway stations in the last few weeks.
