Here are the top stories today in Sunset Park:

  1. Homes for sale in the Sunset Park area; newly listed homes are featured in today's real estate roundup. And you can always visit Redfin.com directly to see many more homes where these came from. (Sunset Park Patch)
  2. According to Offshore Engineer, "A consortium formed between GE Renewable Energy’s Grid Solutions and New York-based BOND Civil & Utility Construction said Tuesday it had secured a contract from Empire Offshore Wind JV to supply an onshore substation for Empire Wind 1, one of New York’s first offshore wind farm projects." GE's Grid Solutions' responsibility will be onshore, they will deliver the substation and the interconnection cable in Brooklyn. (Offshore Engineer)
  3. There's a new app in town, called Seated. This restaurant discovery app puts together a roundup of the top cuisines in each neighborhood of New York City. AMNewYork wrote, "In many neighborhoods across the city, the data showed some commonalities between what types of food New Yorkers preferred. Locals chose Seafood as their top cuisine in neighborhoods like Alphabet City, Sunset Park, Mill Basin, and Yorkville. For mealtimes, places like SoHo, Carroll Gardens and Upper East Side favored brunch." (AMNY)
  4. A man was killed on Sunday evening when he was walking between two subway cars and slipped and fell onto the tracks. The unidentified man was going between to F train cars in Park Slope near the Seventh Avenue subway station. First responders rushed to the location, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
