Here are the top stories in Sunset Park today:
- If you’re in the market for warehouse space, get in line — and get ready to pony up. Currently, industrial remains one of the hottest real estate commodities nationwide and Sunset Park is benefitting from the boom. In November, JP Morgan investment bank provided DH Property Holdings with nearly $442 million in financing for a planned 1.3 million square-foot warehouse development in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood. Why is there a spike in warehouse space? Well, there is less available, thanks to Amazon gobbling up whatever it can, plus with delivery issues, online companies are storing more in warehouses. (The Real Deal)
- Brooklyn resident Josh Katz spent two months during the onset of the pandemic photographing his neighbors from his Bushwick neighborhood's rooftops. What began with posts on his Instagram account in March 2020 has blossomed into a full-scale photography project. His new book, "On The Roof" represents the culmination of his artistic endeavors.
