Here are the top stories today in Sunset Park:

1. According to updated forecasts, a wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow is all but certain. Up to 2 inches of snow could fall Saturday if temperatures drop before steady precipitation ends, a National Weather Service storm update states. (Sunset Park Patch)
2. Governors Island year-round ferry service will soon be added to the southern Brooklyn ferry route. The southern Brooklyn route will service Governors Island weekdays and on non-summer weekends in conjunction with daily ferries from Lower Manhattan. When the new service launches, the Southern Brooklyn line will make stops at Bay Ridge, Sunset Park, Governors Island, Red Hook, Atlantic Ave/Brooklyn Bridge Park, Wall Street/Pier 11, Dumbo and Corlears Hook. 3. Police arrested 83-year-old Harvey Marcelin in connection with the grisly murder of a woman, whose torso was found last week outside of a Brooklyn store. Marcelin had previously spent over 50 years in prison for two prior murder convictions. The 68-year-old victim had been living at an LGBTQ shelter in Clinton Hill at the time of her death.
