Here are the top stories today in Sunset Park:

  1. The Willoughby, at 196 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn, a 34-story mixed-use tower, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The tower boasts 476 studios to two-bedroom residential units. The tower has parking for 564 vehicles directly below and above, on the terrace, a built-in grill and fireplace. (New York YIMBY)
  2. Following a chaotic year of shifting district lines, the June primary elections will be held on June 28. All eyes will be on the 10th Congressional District that covers some of Manhattan, Park Slope, Red Hook and Sunset Park. (Brooklyn Paper)
  3. A group of men at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, robbed at gunpoint and repeatedly beat a 14-year-old boy. The violent incident was caught on surveillance cameras. Police suspect that some of the men knew the boy who they robbed. (NBC New York)
