Sunset Park Immigration Town Hall Scheduled For Nov. 28
Immigration attorneys and top local elected officials will be on hand to speak with community members.
SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — A town hall meeting in Sunset Park on Monday will focus on the immigration-relation questions and concerns of community members.
The gathering will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 28 in the auditorium of I.S. 136, the Charles Dewey Campus, located at 4004 4th Ave.
The discussion will be led by four Brooklyn elected officials: Sunset Park Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez, Sunset Park Councilman Carlos Menchaca, Sunset Park Assemblyman Félix W. Ortiz, and Park Slope Councilman Brad Lander.

Attorneys from The Legal Aid Society and immigration counselors will also be on hand to speak directly with attendees.
The event will be translated into Chinese, Spanish and Arabic.

The town hall is being co-sponsored by Community Education Council 15, which covers schools in Sunset Park and Park Slope, and social services organization The Center for Family Life, which has a location in Sunset Park.
