Sunset Park Man Arrested For Trying To Abduct 2 Boys, NYPD Says
Zhu Lin Shi, 68, was arrested after he tried to abduct two 10-year-old boys around Sunset Park last week, police said.

SUNSET PARK, NY — The man who tried to abduct two boys around Sunset Park last week was arrested on Thursday afternoon, police said.
Zhu Lin Shi, 68, of Sunset Park, was charged with unlawful imprisonment, menacing and acting in a manner injurious to a child by police after he tried to grab the 10-year-old boys walking home from school, the NYPD said.
On May 7, a 10-year-old boy was at the corner of Fort Hamilton Parkway and 58th Street when Lin Shi came up behind him and asked if the boy wanted ice cream at about 3:05 p.m., police said.

The boy said no and tried to run away when Lin Shi grabbed him by his backpack, authorities said. He attempted to bite Lin Shi, when then let go and fled in an unknown direction.
Days later on May 9, another 10-year-old boy was walking near 5302 Seventh Ave. when Lin Shi came up to him and grabbed his arm at about 3 p.m., police said.

The boy tried to kick Lin Shi, who then let go of the kid's arm and ran away, authorities said. Neither of the boys were injured in the incidents, police said.
Lin Shi was arrested at about 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, less than 24 hours after the NYPD released surveillance footage of him. He has no prior arrests, a spokesman for the NYPD said.
