A 38-year-old woman was followed home from the 25th Street R train stop Saturday night and assaulted in her building, police said.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — A 38-year-old woman was sexually assaulted inside her apartment building late Saturday night, and police are searching for the man (pictured above) believed to be responsible for the crime.

The woman exited the R train at its 25th Street station stop shortly after 10 p.m. on Oct. 22, according to the NYPD. She was then followed to her apartment building by the suspect, who entered the building with her, followed her up the stairs, and grabbed her in between the first and second floor.

"A struggle ensued and the victim fell onto the stairs where she was sexually abused," according to the NYPD, after which the man fled the scene.
