Bicyclist Dies In Nassau Crash: Police
The man, 51, died Saturday after he struck a parked tractor trailer, police said.
SYOSSET, NY — A bicyclist died in a crash Saturday morning in Syosset, police said.
According to Nassau County police, the incident took place at 9 a.m.; a 51-year-old male bicyclist was traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road/South Marginal Road between exits 43 and 44 when he struck a legally parked tractor trailer, police said.
The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by a Nassau County Police Department medic; no other injuries were reported, police said.
