Cops: Syosset Man Argued With Woman, Pulled Knife And Crashed Into Her Car

Incident occurred Sunday night, police say.

After a verbal altercation with a woman at a gas station Sunday night, a Syosset man displayed a knife and crashed into her car, leaving her with a broken rib and facial lacerations, authorities said.

Nassau Police say the argument occurred at a Mobil gas station at 9:45 p.m. in Syosset. The woman, 22, left the scene and called 911 while parked on Birchwood Park Drive. While she was speaking with the 911 operator, the man, Ari Drucker, 27, pulled his car alongside hers and began yelling at her before displaying a black knife, police said.

Drucker, facing the opposite direction, drove away, made a U-turn and collided into the rear of the woman’s car, police said.

At that time, police arrived and placed Drucker under arrest, authorities said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A black knife was recovered at the scene, police said.

Drucker is charged with second-degree assault, third-degree menacing and third-degree criminal mischief. He will be arraigned at First District Court, Hempstead.
