Cops: Westbury Man Charged in Glen Head After Marijuana Found in Vehicle

Glen Cove Police recovered marijuana, concentrated cannabis and thousands of dollars in cash in Glen Head Friday from the vehicle of a Westbury man under police observation, authorities said Monday.

Police say they recovered more than four pounds of marijuana, 18 grams of concentrated cannabis and $7,500 in cash from the vehicle driven by Randell R. Lyons, 23.

Dets. Brian Glennon and Officer Eddy Linares charged Lyons with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Nassau County Police assisted the Glen Cove officers at the scene, according to officials.

Lyons is to appear next in First District Court on Tuesday.
