Ex-Jericho Fire Chief, A 50-Year Member, Honored At Ceremony
To recognize Lubcker's contributions, the department named the fund drive office after him.

JERICHO, NY — A former Jericho fire chief and decades-long member of the department was recognized for his service at a recent ceremony. Bob Lubcker served as a lieutenant, captain, deputy chief and chief of the Jericho Volunteer Fire Department, officials said.
He was a 50-year member at the time of his death and also served as treasurer and fire commissioner. He ran the department's fund drive for years and worked with many chiefs to design brochures and mail them out three times a year.
To recognize Lubcker's contributions, the department named the fund drive office after him.

"He was my friend, neighbor and was responsible for getting me to join the department," former Chief Richard Schirald said in a statement.
