Handgun-Wielding Man Shoots At Nassau Gas Station, Police Say

Police arrested a man and a woman in connection with the shooting.

JERICHO, NY — Police have arrested two Glen Head residents following a shooting at a Jericho motel. Police were sent to the Meadowbrook Motor Lodge on Jericho Turnpike around 9 p.m. Monday for a report of gunshots.

A man in the parking lot appeared to be firing a handgun at a nearby gas station, police said. No one was hurt.

When police arrived, Vincent Tasso, 24, ran through the back of the building with Molly Dutrow, 25, whom he lives with on Ferncote Lane, police said. The duo was apprehended without further incident.

Investigators later determined Tasso was also suspected in a theft Thursday in Hicksville. Furthermore, Dutrow had an open parole warrant, police said.

Tasso was charged with criminal possession of a gun, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and grand larceny. Dutrow was charged with violation her parole.
