Nassau County police say the man faces a charge of 3rd-degree robbery.

(Nassau County Police Department)

JERICHO, NY — A Huntington Station man has been arrested after police said he stole lottery tickets, cigarettes and money from a gas station in Jericho and acted like he had a gun.

Barry Costa, 63, of East Third Street, entered the Speedway gas station near Jericho Turnpike and Roxbury Road around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, police said. He approached the teller, placed his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun, then went behind the counter and took items from the register, police said. Costa then took off on foot.

Costa was arrested at the Jericho Motel on Monday afternoon. He faces a charge of 3rd-degree robbery.
