Man Walking On L.I.E. Killed By FedEx Truck: Police

JERICHO, NY — A man, walking on the Long Island Expressway, was struck on Sunday afternoon by a FedEx truck and killed, Nassau police said.

The truck was traveling eastbound in the right lane when the 28-year-old male driver hit the pedestrian between exits 40W and 40E, police said.

The 33-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No other injuries were reported. The FedEx driver remained at the scene, police said.
