Oyster Bay Co-ed Volleyball Starting This Summer

The Town of Oyster Bay announced a new outdoor volleyball program at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Park.

Volleyball will begin on July 9 and will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

“Volleyball is a great way to kick-start a fun and active summer. This new and exciting recreational program is open to residents age 18 and older,” Councilman Labriola said. “This sports program offers healthy competition, exercise and a great social opportunity for making new friends.”

The 10-week Summer Nights Co-Ed Outdoor Volleyball program begins on Tuesday, July 9 and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Registration takes place on Sunday, June 2 from 12 to 3 p.m., Monday, June 3 from 6 to 10 p.m., and Thursday, June 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hicksville Athletic Center, located at 167 Broadway in Hicksville.

The cost of enrollment is $75 for residents or $100 for nonresidents. Games will be played on a concrete surface and participants are encouraged to bring their own protective gear.
