• Northwell nurses vote to authorize strike (longislandpress.com) — Syosset hospital nurses are among roughly 1,000 Northwell nurses who have authorized a strike if no new contract is reached by December 31, potentially affecting local patient care. The union is pushing for safer staffing levels, better benefits, and stronger recruitment and retention, while Northwell says it is bargaining in good faith to reach a fair agreement.
