• LI Ringleader Built $40K Home Depot Theft Operation, Now Headed To Prison (dailyvoice.com) — Syosset shoppers may have been unknowingly caught up in a Home Depot theft ring that also hit Freeport, Levittown, and Westbury, with stolen goods shipped overseas for resale. Prosecutors say the ringleader, a Baldwin man, has now been sentenced to state prison and forced to forfeit cash and property after investigators recovered tens of thousands of dollars in construction and electrical materials.
