• Northwell nurses give 10-day strike notice (longislandpress.com) — Nurses at Northwell’s Syosset Hospital have issued a 10-day strike notice and could walk out as soon as Jan. 12 if no contract deal is reached, alongside colleagues in Plainview, Huntington, and New York City. They’re pushing for safe staffing ratios, better benefits, and stronger recruitment and retention, while Northwell says it aims to keep Syosset Hospital fully operational and maintain patient safety during any strike.
