Police Searching For Teen Missing From Syosset Youth Group Home

Police are searching for a teenager who was last seen leaving MercyFirst Facility.

SYOSSET, NY — Police are searching for a teenager who was last seen leaving a youth group home in Syosset. Edwin Sebastian-Felix, 15, was last seen leaving the MercyFirst facility on Convent Road around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nassau County police said.

He is described as a Hispanic boy standing 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Police had no details on what he might be wearing or wear he may be headed.

He was reported missing around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Police ask that anyone with information about his whereabouts call the missing persons unit at 516-573-7347 or dial 911. All callers will remain anonymous.

MercyFirst is a not-for-profit human service agency that was founded as an orphanage in the late 1800s by the Sisters of Mercy. It currently serves more than 3,200 youths and families each year at its facilities in Queens, Brooklyn, Nassau and Suffolk counties, and offers educational programs, mental health services, youth activities and housing for troubled and at-risk kids.
