Syosset-Based Real Estate Company Purchased $12.6M Apartment Complex in South Carolina
The is the first acquisition of 2017 for the local company.

A Syosset-based real estate company recently announced that it has acquired their first apartment complex for 2017 at $12.6 million.
On Jan. 6, Toro Real Estate Partners, a private real estate investment firm focused on buying apartment communities throughout the Southeast and Midwest, acquired 160 units in North Charleston, South Carolina with its purchase of Hampton Oaks (soon to be Bradley Square).
This makes the third properties for a total of 600 units in South Carolina within the past 8 months for the company, located on 100 Gordon Drive.

This property represents its 9th apartment purchase for Toro in the last two years and bringing their total to over 1,300 units.
"We're extremely excited to land another property in the Charleston market," John Cohen, co-founder of Toro Real Estate Partners said. "The location of this property in North Charleston is excellent and we feel that this sub-market is experiencing amazing growth that we can take advantage of over the next 10 years."

The company is looking to make an additional $100 million in acquisitions in the following 12 to 18 months.
"We are looking to capitalize on interior upgrades, light exterior and amenity upgrades and improve operations at the property," Cohen said. "We are constantly looking for ways to capitalize on a property and this one checked all the boxes for us."
