Woodbury Ice Skating Rink To Open For Season This Month
Private and semi-private lessons, group lessons and private rentals will be offered at the rinks.

WOODBURY, NY — Two outdoor ice skating rinks are set to open this month in the Town of Oyster Bay, including at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Park on Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury. Officials on Tuesday said
Ice-skating rinks at Marjorie R. Post and Syosset-Woodbury would open for the season on Black Friday, Nov. 29.
Here are the public session hours at both outdoor rinks on opening day: 10 a.m. - noon, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Private and semi-private lessons, group lessons and private rentals will be offered at the rinks. Alternatively, indoor ice-skating is offered year-round at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center on Stewart Avenue in Bethpage.
Joseph Saladino, the town supervisor, said ice skating is a fun activity for residents of all ages. He said the rinks provide the "perfect setting to relax, unwind, and take in the wonderful winter atmosphere."

"Our outdoor ice rink facilities are the perfect antidote to combating cabin fever during the winter months, and are a wonderful way to help make coping with the cold fun and enjoyable," Saladino said in a news release. "I encourage residents of all ages to take advantage of these facilities."
