Car Slides on Ice, Strikes Pole and Bus Stop

Tarrytown police report a car accident on South Broadway caused minor injury and damage to Con Edison and MTA property.

Icy conditions were apparently to blame when a car slid on South Broadway, striking a telephone pole and a bus stop sign, police report.

On March 17 at 2:33 a.m., police responded to a car accident on South Broadway.

The driver complained of pain to his knee so officers requested Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, who transported him to Phelps Memorial Hospital.

Con Edison was notified to check the pole and police attempted to notify MTA transit bus regarding the sign with no answer.

DPW foreman responded with a salter.
