Tarrytown juicer Enzo Simone dedicates a special drink to his hometown.
And the end of a menu of juices named after the world tallest peaks (Everest, Kilimanjaro), Tarrytown proprietor/mountaineer Enzo Simone gives a shout out to his hilly roots in nearby Mount Kisco.
"The Mount Kisco" at Believe Juice and Books bar consists of a bright mix of:
Carrot, parsley, beet, celery, tomato, ginger

Simone explains:
The reason for the name is that Mount Kisco was the first mountain I climbed Alpine-style. When I was 6 or so my brother, a friend and I cut down my mother’s laundry line tied it to our belt loops like mountaineers on a glacier and climbed up Mount Kisco to the top behind the old Swiss Home property.

Many mountains later, his journeys to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases have been documented in the movie 10 Mountains, 10 Years. You can read more about this project and his efforts here.
