Update, Friday: As of late Thursday night, a winner was trophied in the ongoing Golden Knives Competition at Hudson Harbor. And the winner by a few close votes is: Carl Van Dekker, co-owner with brother John of our new and popular Village Dog. Congratulations to him and all the amazing local chefs, especially fellow finalist Eric Korn of Irvington's Good Life Gourmet.

Thursday: It was a beautiful balmy evening Wednesday as chefs Carl Van Dekker (Tarrytown's Village Dog) and Eric Korn (Irvington's Good Life Gourmet) prepared and plated the small courses in this ongoing pop-up feast at Hudson Harbor.
Tonight the two chefs will again compete with the same menus (rabbit terrine, brown-buttered soft shell crab, a tantalizing take on "pork and beans," pastry-topped pot au feu, Brooklyn's Mast-chocolate filled doughnuts and more). Diners will get their last chance to vote and the winner will be crowned and trophied at 10 p.m.
Who's it going to be? Dinner is sold out tonight, but there's a celebration, open and free to the public from 7 to 10 p.m., complete with wine and beer tastings and hors d'oeuvres. For more info email Info@AgencyWestchester.com.Â
