Citizen Complaints: Not Enough Rum, No Beer

On Sept. 28 at 4:22 a.m., Tarrytown police got a call from someone who said he was in the Walgreens parking lot with a man who said he was robbed.

When police spoke to the complainant, who they describe as highly intoxicated, he said that he had given money to five men he could not describe or identify to buy him alcohol. They reportedly came back with a bottle of rum which he did not feel was worth the amount of money he provided. However, the man could not tell police how much money he gave the group.

He refused any further any further police action. Police searched the area and could not find a group of five.

In another incident, a 911 caller reported an incident at Walgreens on Oct. 3 at 1:23 a.m. Police said the caller sounded intoxicated.

Officers went to the store and talked to an employee who said that the caller was upset because there was no beer in the store. The employee said the man left before police arrived.
