Dead Deer Causes Scene on Grounds of SHHS
A deer found over the weekend on Sleepy Hollow High School grounds would have to wait for Monday removal.

A dead deer received some attention over the weekend as it awaited Monday morning removal from Sleepy Hollow High School grounds.
On Saturday, March 2 at 11:56 a.m. a Sleepy Hollow police officer reported that a dead deer had several people gathered around it just off the roadway at 210 North Broadway.
Police contacted the DPW foreman and school maintenance director for removal. The school maintenance director called back to say they would remove it on Monday.

On Sunday morning at 8:42 a.m., a caller reported to police that a dead deer was on the hill of the high school. Officer again noted that the DPW had been previously notified as well as the school and the deer would be removed on Monday.
