Superintendent Ronald Gonzalez said in a statement that the district was disappointed with the result, but that it remained committed to hearing the public’s concerns and ensuring the highest quality education for the students.
“We have already begun the process of assessing the next steps necessary to putting a budget in place as required under New York State law,” he said.
“We look forward to sharing the budget and plans for educating our children with the community,” Gonzalez said. “With your partnership, we will forge a path together and heal some of the divisions that have arisen in this recent voting season.”
