Groundbreaking May 7 for New Apartment Development in Hastings

Officials with Ginsburg Development Companies, who will be joined by Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and and Hastings Village Mayor Peter Swiderski, have scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony May 7 for luxury rental complex in Hastings.

The Lofts at Saw Mill River will be a 66-Unit rental complex on Saw Mill River Road, across from Acorda headquarters.

Costing about $35 million to build, the complex will feature loft-style rental apartments in 3 buildings including 12 affordable workforce housing units.

Ginsburg has dedicated 1.8 acres of open space to the Village and will create a 10-space parking lot and pedestrian bridge for the public to the South County Trailway, which runs by the property. The project, which received financial incentives from the Westchester County Industrial Development Agency, is expected to create 100 construction jobs over an 18-month period.
