W@tercooler proprietor and mother of two Jenifer Ross reported to the 10591 Facebook group she started that her car had been rear-ended. But this hit and run story came to a different conclusion than you might expect.
Ross was trying to make a left turn into Peabody Field on North Broadway on May 30 when she was struck. She told Sleepy Hollow Police that the car had then fled northbound on Route 9 with three occupants in the car. She described the car as a light green/olive SUV which police went searching for.
However they would soon find better evidence had unknowingly been left behind: an imprint of the car's license plate had been perfectly transferred onto Ross's bumper. Police were contacting the registered owner which they traced to the Bronx.
